Flux Energy Systems designs and engineers solar, battery and electric vehicle charging projects.
Our expertise in implementation allows us to tackle exciting projects with the newest technologies and aggressive schedules.
By collaborating with our clients, we provide the leadership and organization that drive projects to their schedule, budget and quality targets.
OUR VALUES
Integrity
We love working in the distributed energy industry but given the complexity and fast pace of our projects, it is inevitable that challenges will arise. We demand accountability and honesty of ourselves and all project partners.
Communication
We provide clear technical direction to inform decisions and translate complex concepts into detailed construction drawings. We respond promptly and succinctly to deliver projects on schedule.
Quality
Our success comes with our customer’s success, and we always remember that. We always pick up the phone, and we move quickly to keep your projects on track.
Positive Attitude
Integrating 21st-century technology into an old electric grid is hard work, but we love the challenge. We keep things positive and collaboratively solve problems.

JESUS OLVERA
Drafter
Jesus holds an A.S. in CAD and Design, an A.S. in Drafting and Design Arch/Civil and an A.S. in Civil Technology. Over the past 17 years, Jesus has drafting Structural, Architectural and Plumbing plans. He has also been a tutor, lab assistant and teacher assistant for Santa Ana College teaching CAD Drafting and math. In his spare time, he enjoys hanging with his family and friends, doing jigsaw puzzles, following and photographing eclipses and other celestial events.
RIGO LUNA
Design Engineer
Rigo started his engineering career in the construction industry working as an electrical estimator. He has worked on large and small scale projects ranging in scope from industrial to commercial projects. One of his main goals is to achieve his Professional Engineering license to further his engineering experience. He also has a great deal of interest in learning about Hydropower and Hydroelectricity and how to maximize its power in order to create an alternative to fossil fuels. By implementing his creative thinking and design ideas, he hopes to one day lead the world towards a better future of sustainability. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from San Francisco State University.
ALISON BROWN, PE
President
Alison Brown has over 15 years of experience in renewable energy. She has worked with solar, battery, electric vehicle, fuel cell, and smart grid technologies on projects ranging from remote, off-grid cabins to industrial microgrids. She is passionate about making strategic design decisions to eliminate risks early in a project. In 2016, Alison founded Flux Energy Systems to provide cost effective engineering solutions for alternative energy projects.
Alison holds a B.A. in Physics from Middlebury College and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder. She was a recipient of the 2009 Transatlantic Renewable Energy Fellowship. She is an active member of the LA Chapter of WRISE and was the director in 2020.
AMALIA LOPEZ
Project Manager, Operations Manager
Amalia Lopez is responsible for managing the Flux team and our subconsultants to ensure high quality, timely deliverables of every project milestone. She has overseen solar, electric vehicle charging and battery energy storage projects across the state of California. Additionally, Amalia is responsible for completing project proposals.

Amalia started her professional career working in the energy industry for large Oil & Gas Corporations in both upstream and downstream operations. Her background in critical infrastructure brings a high level of organization and attention to detail to Flux and all her projects. She has a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
ANDREW FEDERICO, PE
Electrical Engineer
Andrew Federico is responsible for the interconnection design, system modelling and cable design for Flux’s battery storage and solar projects. His reports have been peer reviewed and approved by some of the top engineering firms in the country. With over 2 GWh of experience in battery energy storage, Andrew knows how to validate project design for all extreme design scenarios.

Prior to working at Flux, Andrew completed coordination studies for power plants and distribution systems and evaluated transmission systems across the Midwest. He has a Bachelor of Science: Mechanical Engineering Degree along with an Energy Engineering Minor from the University of Colorado, at Boulder. He is a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer in the states of California and Colorado.
